Accreditations

Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC)

MercyOne Des Moines Home Care and Hospice is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), an internationally recognized accrediting body throughout the United States and beyond. Since 1986, ACHC has been committed to high-quality, patient-focused accreditation standards. ACHC Accreditation means that our policies, processes and care delivery meet high standards for quality and safety; ACHC has the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a deeming authority for home health and hospice programs.

MercyOne Siouxland Home Care is accredited by the Joint Commission, which is the largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Achieving this accreditation shows that we are committed to providing high quality services and improving patient care and safety.

Quality Achievements

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is a federal agency created by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that provides health coverage to more than 160 million people. CMS partners with us and the entire health care community to improve quality, equity and outcomes in the health care industry.

CMS gives us quality metric ratings, so we can improve in certain areas. Quality matters to us; that's why we're proud to meet or exceed national quality metrics.
